I have been a Family Lawyer for over 25 years. Since 2008 I have been acting as a lawyer for children after going through the court’s approval process. I am currently the North shore representative for the Family Law section
Over recent years I have been called upon as an expert on protection orders and I have presented seminars to fellow lawyers and spoken on Radio NZ.
In 2017 I updated the Auckland District Law Society manual on the Domestic Violence Act (since replaced by the Family Violence Act 2018).
My Master’s degree focused on Dispute Resolution, I have completed the Law Society training on mediation and have trained as a collaborative lawyer.
I work in all areas of Family Law including Contracting out agreements (prenups), Relationship property, Parenting matters, Lawyer for child, Adoptions and Family violence matters.
I no longer take on Legal aid clients, but do assist colleagues with agencies in the North Shore Court.
I have experience in Appeal work in the High Court and have been involved with the Court of Appeal.
My clients like my straight-talking advice and pragmatic solutions focused approach.
They appreciate I can deal with matters urgently and file without notice applications where necessary.
